This is a free quit-tobacco service that has helped thousands of residents in their efforts to quit. The program is funded by the State Department of Health. Support is available to anyone who lives in the state. There is a complete program which includes support from a Quit Coach over the phone, or an online program, Web Coach, that doesn’t include any phone coaching, or more of an a la carte individual program where you can pick and choose which services you want to use.

Yes. All the services are available in Spanish except the texting program. Many other languages are supported via Interpreter services for the Helpline phone based program. If you need an interpreter or want phone coaching in another language, call us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669).
Friends and family of tobacco users and health care providers may use the online resources available on . In addition, providers, friends, or family members may call us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669) to learn more about how they can support and/or receive a packet of materials they can give to their patients or friends.
We do not provide prescription medications. You can talk to your health care provider if you are interested in prescription medications. Typically, we do provide free patches, gum, and/or lozenges though.
Yes. All services are free for all state residents. You can receive free help to quit even if you don’t have health insurance.
Text2Quit is the text-message program we offer. If you choose to receive texts, you will receive Text2Quit messages from the number 300400.
Yes. Our services are designed to help you at whatever stage you’re at — even if you’re just curious about quitting.
Yes. We help people to quit using all forms of tobacco, including chew or other tobacco forms.
Any state resident who is 18 years or older can sign up for services. If you are under 18 years of age, you can still get some services.

Yes it is. Your information is classified as health information and is protected by federal law. Please see the link to the Privacy Notice at the bottom of the page.
For our Helpline program, an email address is not required. For our individual services programs an email address is required when enrolling online. There are many free email services that can be found online (e.g. gmail.com, Hotmail.com). We do not sell or rent your email address. If you do not have an email address, and do not want one, you can call us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669) to enroll by phone.
If you had signed up for the Helpline before, you can opt in/out of texting or email services inside your Web Coach account at www.webcoach.net or by calling us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669). As far as re-enrolling into Helpline services, you can do that by calling us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669).
If you had signed up for individual services prior and have a Web Account you can manage all your services inside of this Web Account. Login at www.webcoach.net/individualserivces The My Account page will show you what you have already selected and what else is available for enrollment or re-enrollment. Check “Select” to sign up for another service, or to opt out of services you no longer want to receive.
There are a few ways to stop getting emails from us:
When enrolling online, you need to set up a Web Account to sign up for Individual Services. You can use your Web Account to manage or change your services or to upgrade to the Helpline. If you happen to not have a Web Account, you can call us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669) to have one set up.

If you signed up for individual services you can log in at www.webcoach.net. To log in, you will need the username and password you entered when you set up your account. Or, if you got a Web Coach account instead, you would login at www.webcoach.net
Your username is the email address you provided when you enrolled. If you have changed your email address in your Web Account Profile since you enrolled, then that NEW email address will be your username.
Click “I forgot my password” and follow the prompts to reset or change your password. Note: For privacy reasons, the representatives don't know your password but can help you through the process.
You may want to first try re-setting your password by clicking “Forgot Password” near the log-in fields. The FAQs also tell you what steps to follow for successful log-in. If you still need help, click “Email Us” in the FAQs section to submit your technical support issue.
You can change your information by logging in to your Web Account and visiting My Profile, or you can also call us at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669) and tell us which information you want to change.
You can change your email address, or any other personal information, by logging in to your Web Account and visiting My Profile. Note: If you change your email address, it will be your new username when you log in to your account. Also, all future program emails will be sent to the new email address.
If you have set up your Web Account, you can update your cell phone number in My Profile.
If you don't think you are receiving emails from us and should be, add the email address firstname.lastname@example.org to your spam filter's list of approved senders and/or contact your network administrator. You should check your junk or spam folders as well.
Detailed information about medication use and side effects are available on the website, and by calling this phone number: 866-910-7418. If you believe you are having a serious reaction to the medication, such as difficulty breathing or swelling of the throat or mouth, stop using it and seek immediate medical attention. Please call 911 if you feel you are having life threatening symptoms.
What are Quit Coaches and how are they trained? Quit Coaches are non-judgmental professionals with an understanding of people’s stages of readiness to quit tobacco. Before hiring, all Quit Coaches are required to have a bachelor’s degree and many have advanced degrees. Quit Coaches have received thorough training and are experts in helping tobacco users quit.
When will my Coach call me? You can let your Quit Coach know the time of day you like to be called or log on to your Web Account and enter your “Best Time to Call” in My Profile. Your Coach will attempt to reach you during that time of day.
When can I call my Coach? Quit Coaches are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with only three exceptions: July 4, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (December 25). Call us toll free at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669).
My Coach is calling me at times that aren't easy for me to talk. How do I have the calls come at better times or to a different phone number? Ask your Coach to update your information next time you talk.
How do I use the "Call us now" button I see in emails and on the website?Click that button and enter the phone number where you can be reached. You’ll get a call back within seconds. When you answer, you'll hear us connecting you to a Quit Coach. You can use this feature anytime you need some support.
How do I schedule a call?You and your Quit Coach will schedule your next call toward the end of each call. You can also call us anytime though at 1-800-QUITNOW (784-8669) to talk to a coach.
